Monino – the largest aviation museum in Russia.

Tour Description:

The Central Museum of the Air Forces at Monino is located 40 kilometres (24 miles) from Moscow. The facility was an operational air base from 1932 through April 1956. Equal to 20 football fields in size, Monino museum has genuine aircraft of the most famous Russian aviation Design Bureaus Tupolev, Ilyushin, Antonov, Mikoyan, etc. Some of the aircraft cannot be found anywhere else.
A former military pilot will show you the full collection of 173 aircraft and 127 aircraft engines.

Unique collection of airplanes and helicopters including the biggest aircraft at the beginning of the 20th century: the “Ilya Muromets”
Collection of aircraft engines
Cruise missiles
Models of Soviet nuclear and hydrogen bombs
Collections of weapons, instruments, uniforms (including captured U2 pilot Gary Powers' uniform)
Cold War-era US spy equipment, artwork, and other air-related items.
